Suzuki TS250 engine

For sale, Suzuki TS250 engine I think 79/82 I'm not 100% sure. It will come with the pictured universal carburettor which looks brand new. Its a bit of a mixed bag in terms of its condition so I'll try and be as descriptive as I can.

I have heard it run with pre-mix into the carb, it fired up straight away and has good compression, internals feel good and generally its a good engine that's. As you can see in the pictures there is some damage to the magneto side of the crankcase. The whole section where the oil pump would sit is missing, but the blanking plate here suggests that one was never used or installed on this engine suggesting it just ran on pre-mix. There is also a small piece broken off where the engine cover over the magneto would of sat.

Not a major issue again as I don't think oil would cycle here anyway and a tight seal isn't necessary. Weirdly when searching for a similar engine for sale, they are all missing this cover anyway.

The one seen in the pictures is not original and does not actually fit properly (bottom screw hole does not locate), but its does fit ok and could still be used. The gear selector shaft is clearly snapped and t. He previous owner has also shaved some fins on the head in order to accommodate a different exhaust. It would make the ideal power plant for a restoration after a little TLC.
