The bike is in the UK. And will need to be collected from Chislehurst BR7 - Kent, just off the M25 by the Dartford crossing. The engine turns over easily and is not seized, and the down-pipe on the front silencer seems very solid too but I have not touched the bike since bringing it out of the barn it was found in, and therefore have no knowledge of the internal condition of parts and so on.
Having said all that, this little machine would make a truly fantastic and very cheap! Father and son project, or provide a ton of useful parts for another bike. Whatever, the case its a great find and well worth saving. The frame at the rear has damage, as can be seen but can easily be repaired and there is a really rare carrier fitted too. If I had the time, I would put a set of alloy rims'guards and tank on her, with a sporty single seat which would make a really neat and unique scrambler and with prices for some of these bikes topping out at around or even over 2k, I think it represents a terrific opportunity to get a classic machine on the road for next to nothing.Cash on collection preferred please!
